PRIVACY
What we collect, why, and for how long.
What we collect
- Photos you send, with the city, country, caption, X handle and wallet you choose to give. We remove all location data (EXIF/GPS) from the file when you upload it and keep the city only.
- Ideas you propose, with the handle or wallet you choose to give.
- Votes: your wallet address, your choice and your signature, which are public by design.
- A hashed version of your IP address, only to stop spam (rate limits). We never store the IP itself.
- Public blockchain data about $OVNI (balances and transfers), which is public anyway.
We don't use advertising trackers or sell anything about you.
Why
- To show approved photos on the site and on OVNI's social accounts, run the weekly prizes and votes, pay winners, and keep the site safe.
How long
- Approved photos stay online until the end of the project and its archive. Rejected photos are deleted within 30 days. Spam-protection data is deleted after 24 hours.
- If postcards happen, mailing addresses will be encrypted, used only to mail your card and deleted right after.
Your choices
- You can ask us to remove your photo or your data at any time. Blockchain data and votes can't be erased from the chain.
Who helps us
- Vercel (hosting and file storage) and Neon (database) in the United States. If we turn on automated photo checks, OpenAI's moderation service analyses the photo; nothing is used to train models.
